Dave Parker

Dave Parker is the Program Director and midday host on US1061. Under his guidance, US1061 has been voted “Best Radio Station in Hampton Roads” every year since 2018. Dave is also one of our “Born Here, Raised Here, Proud To Call Hampton Roads Home” crew, having spent much of his life in Hampton Roads.
As a member of the media in our area since 1997, Dave has been a fixture on radio, television, and print. His first book, History Next Door: Stories of World War II by Hampton Roads Veterans, was published in 2002. He’s also written extensively for Coastal Virginia Magazine. Dave has two television travel series, PBS’s Virginia Found, and Discover, airing on CBS affiliates in Hampton Roads and Richmond.
Make sure to wave when you see Dave cruising the area’s roads almost daily on his Harley. Riding thousands of miles each year, Dave is active in the motorcycle community, and is a vocal advocate for motorcycle safety. He and his wife Joy have been married for more than 30 years, and have two daughters.
